Our Family

We have inherited everything from the family: the land, the work, the passion we put into growing hazelnuts and, above all, the responsibility to do it with infinite love. We take care of our hazelnut groves, but we could not do anything if first, we did not take care of ourselves, cultivating the greatest good: the bond that unites us and gives us the strength to collaborate in a shared project. With a smile.

Domenico Canaparo

“I deeply love the life and the beauty of the land: perhaps this is why I fell in love with plants and have been growing hazelnuts in Alta Langa for as long as I can remember. Will and ambition have always pushed me to seek the best in the things I do. I am over 80 years old, but I am still a force of nature: at 60 I finished middle school, I play in a dialect theater company and I still continue to go to the hazelnut grove to this day, handing out advice to my grandchildren and keeping myself updated with the best cultivation techniques available”.

Enzo Fontana

“From my father Ercole I inherited the value of hard work, love for the Alta Langa and a boundless passion for hazelnuts. I am a tireless worker. I love being in company but sometimes I need to isolate myself to gather ideas and recharge my energy. I have a middle school diploma, but I gained my training experience by working. In the company, I always think I'm the boss, but I know my family just lets me believe it”.

Silvia Canaparo

“Daughter of Domenico, wife of Enzo, in love with my family. I am empathetic with people and with life, sensitive and sociable. I love everything that is new and that expands my knowledge. After high school and health training I graduated from the Energheia school, becoming a teacher of Raja Yoga, an experience that changed my life. But not as much as becoming a mother to my two children: Mattia and Arianna, who now both work in the company. In the course of my life I have learned to make peace with the earth: «By learning love you will find the good in all things»”.

Mattia Fontana

“Cheerful, I deeply love being in company. I grew up with hazelnuts and here I keep the best memories. I know I have a heart of gold, I inherited goodness from my grandfather Ercole and my mother Silvia. I am pensive and sometimes I might seem indecisive. Actually, when I take a road, it's hard for me to stop. I graduated in accounting, I have cut my teeth by working in the company and drove myself into the Nocciola Amore Mio project. From my grandparents and my father, I have learned respect for nature and discovered the value of being a part of it: choosing to take care of it satisfies me and gives me joy”.

Arianna Fontana

“You can call me Ari. I love freedom, independence and feeling alive. I am an introverted person but, with those who know how to deal with me, I am a chatterbox. Born under the sign of Pisces, I am sensitive, a dreamer, and creative. I have an unconditional love for travel, which resulted in my experience in England at the age of 19. I had the opportunity to meet people, cultures and traditions from all over the world. From a shy and awkward girl, I became more confident, courageous and, looking at the world with new eyes, I rediscovered the beauty of my land. I have always thought that to overcome a fear, one must face it heads on: this is why I am part of Nocciola Amore Mio, after all, «one only lives through experience»”.
